FFG Survey

When you are forecasting for an intense weather system (Ex: COL, tropical low etc.), how often do you use the FFG products when deciding on rainfall related impacts and warnings?

I never use the FFG products
I use the FFG products if a colleague asks me to
I use the FFG products about 50% of the time
I often consult the FFG products in my forecasting
I always use the FFG products as a tool when forecasting

Write a short summary on why you are either a) not using FFG products, or b) why you find them very useful. Your answer should give insights to what is working well and what needs to be done to improve forecaster confidence in the FFG products

I would rate my confidence in using the FFG systems as:

Extremely confident (Understand to the level of being able to guide others)
Confident enough to work independently on and integrate with IBF warning products
Comfortable with the concept but rely on input from more experienced colleagues before using
Unsure of how to access or use data and tend avoid it when possible
I would rather leave FFG-based data to more confident colleagues all together

Integrating the FFG data with the IBF risk matrix to derive a warning category
Understanding the FFG products and how they assist me in forecasting.
Refresher course, including online modules and a block week
